The holiday season is officially over and it's back to our usual busy schedule. Following a lovely Christmas with family, we took a trip to the Sunshine Coast to get some relaxation in before the end of the year. We chose the beautiful Cottages on Swallow Hill owned by a sweet couple, and fell in love with its tranquility, heritage feel and charm. My favourite features included the wood-burning fireplace, old-fashioned stove and slanted ceilings in the bedroom.

Outside our accommodations, we found the town of Gibsons to be equally charming and peaceful, especially this time of year. Although chilly, we saw sunny skies all day and met many friendly residents while exploring the local boutiques. Driving up the coast, we discovered more picturesque spots including Halfmoon Bay, Sechelt and Smuggler's Cove. This was our first visit to the Sunshine Coast and it certainly won't be our last!
