We were asked to develop a bilingual identity putting a modern spin on simplified Chinese characters. The primary logo design is comprised of a custom typeface paired with a whimsical illustration to reflect the restaurant’s signature red hot pots. The identity was applied to web, the physical storefront, print collateral and advertising. In addition, we also supported the company in brand and food photography, providing art direction, styling and photography for all of their dishes.
